17 Burgate

We came partly for work, but mainly to celebrate an important birthday. Ashley surprised us with scones, cake, and some lovely bubbles, which made the occasion feel really special. The room and location were just right, and our hosts were wonderful throughout. 17 Burgate was a peaceful break from everyday life. We loved our stay and will be back. Thanks for giving us a memory we'll keep for a long time. Tony and Alicia

Breakfast was delicious and ready at exactly the time we'd agreed. The building is beautiful, newly decorated, and spotless. Alan and Ashley are lovely hosts who do everything they can to make a stay at 17 Burgate comfortable and memorable. We hope to come back. Thanks, Alan and Ashley.

The garden became a little retreat for us, especially with a nice cup of tea. The rooms were spotless and beautifully done, and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast had everything we could think of, with great attention to detail from Ashley and Allan. Right from arrival, Ashley treated us like old friends and went out of her way every day to make things feel just right. Such a great find. We'll be back. Thank you, Hazel and Hilda xx

We'd barely got home from our two nights at 17 Burgate before booking again with friends. Ashley had created such a peaceful atmosphere from the moment we arrived, and our room was comfortable with all sorts of thoughtful touches. The freshly baked treats were a lovely bonus. There was a plumbing problem, but Ashley handled it really well and moved us to another room at no extra cost. Before we arrived, we were asked if a buffet breakfast would work because of unforeseen circumstances. We're both committed fans of a cooked breakfast, but Ashley's continental spread won us over. The food was fresh, plentiful, and high quality, with warm croissants and pastries, meats and cheeses, plus a warm special dish Ashley had made. We had a wonderful two-night stay and can't wait to return.
