We were staying in Thorton Le Dale, not at the Inn, and came here for a meal. The food was amazing, really tasty and good quality, with generous portions at a good price. I'd definitely recommend it, and I'm sure we'll come back.

I'm local and have been in a few times recently. The pub has improved a lot lately, and standards seem to be holding. Service is good, the place is clean and tidy now, the beer is excellent and the food looks good. Applause for our new Landlady and Landlord.

Under new ownership, with excellent servers and a menu that should suit most people. Still, the till gave me the wrong change after some fuss getting the bill corrected, and I had to ask for more money back. If I visit again, I'll check the bill carefully and pay by card.

The pub needs more people like this if British pubs are going to stay alive. We had a cracking meal there, two nights running, actually. Great food, good beer, and staff who were really friendly.

The food was excellent and good value, and we found the place welcoming with a nice atmosphere after visiting Pickering. I went for the burger, but seeing my mate's steak and ale pie made me wish I'd ordered that instead. It looked like a proper homemade pie.
