This traditional hotel sits right in the heart of Pitlochry and makes a comfortable base for exploring the Highlands. The building has a classic Scottish character, with cosy rooms and a welcoming feel. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It's well placed for both the town and nearby nature, a relaxing stay with an authentic Highland touch. 👍

The rooms are comfortable, and there's a really good range at breakfast. Evening meals are served in the bar, but it's very popular, so in the off season you may have to wait a bit.

The garden was a lovely place to unwind, and we had a great meal and a few drinks in the main bar. The chicken was brilliant, and the bar staff were really friendly. We were only passing through in our campervan on the way to Orkney, but everyone working there was welcoming and helpful. We’d definitely stop by again.

The breakfast was disappointing, with very little choice. The building also needs a proper restoration: the floors are old and creak loudly, and you can hear every movement in the other rooms. Our own room was clean and nicely decorated, though.

Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and every member of staff was so lovely. We had a lovely night’s stay and would definitely recommend it.
