Killiecrankie Hotel

Matilda and Tom have done something lovely at Killiecrankie House. The food was extraordinary and the wine spectacular, with fascinating stories alongside both that made everything even better. They and their whole team are at the top of their game. It was unforgettable and superb in every way. Thank you to you both and to all the brilliant people working with you.

The tasting menu kept surprising us, and the wines alongside it were fabulous. We also had a whisky tasting beforehand, which was superb, and I hadn't tried any of those whiskies before. After a great night's sleep, we had a delicious breakfast before leaving. We don't need to say much more than we'll be back. The menu changes often, but the photos give a sense of the special dishes the team makes.

My husband surprised me with a birthday stay at Killiecrankie House, somewhere I'd wanted to visit for a while, and it absolutely lived up to it. Tom, Matilda and all the staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. They're a friendly, professional team who made the stay really special. The food was unbelievable. When Tom explained the ingredients and how a course was made, some of it sounded so clever it could have been made up. He's incredibly talented, and the Michelin star is well deserved. The accommodation was stunning, and the food, wine and music were all perfect. Breakfast this morning was spectacular too. Best 50th birthday present! We'll return.

The dinner tasting menu was an unbelievable experience. The food was divine, and you can tell Tom, Matilda and the whole team care deeply about what they do. Everyone knew their stuff, every detail felt considered, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Their recent star is so well deserved.
