The Claymore Guest House and Apartments

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful and really good, and there’s a lovely garden for sitting out and relaxing. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. It’s an easy walk into town. What a wonderful guest house, we can’t wait to come back.

The owners were super friendly, the location made it easy to explore Pitlochry, and breakfast was wonderful. You mark what you want for the next morning on a sheet at reception, then it’s served hot and fresh. That’s so much better than the typical continental lodging breakfast in the States, and better than the breakfast I had at other lodging while visiting Scotland. The staff also helped me call a taxi and suggested local walking routes. I stayed at the Claymore Guest House for two nights in late September. On checkout day I was actually sad to leave, which isn’t something I usually feel about a place I’ve stayed.

The rooms are lovely and clean, breakfast is delicious, and the staff are so friendly. This was our second stay at The Claymore Hotel, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

The owner and his wife were great hosts and went the extra mile. When we had a bad tyre, Gordon, the owner, helped us contact a repair service and get it arranged. He also told us about local events. His wife made a fantastic breakfast, and the staff were great too. This is a must-stay place.
