Nancy made us feel very welcome and was always glad to help. The food was delicious, and after a long day our comfortable, cosy room was just right for relaxing. There are plenty of shops and restaurants an easy walk away. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

After hiking, the five-star bath was a wonderful way to recharge, and breakfast was made just the way we wanted. Nancy was such a welcoming host and had thought of every little thing, from plenty of coat hooks to USB charging points on both sides of the bed. The place sits on a hill with stunning views, and was a highlight of our two-week trek up from London. I can't think of anything negative to say about Poplars. We only regret not having more time there and would have loved to stay longer. Simply stunning.

A lovely old family home from the 1800s, with misty hills right outside in the morning. If you like Jane Austen or the Brontë sisters, you'd love it here. Nancy is fabulous, and the hosts couldn't have been better. We loved the location, the comfortable newly refurbished rooms, and the lovely linens. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the porridge with wee whisky!

Scott and Nancy made us feel right at home in their beautiful house. Our room was lovely, and breakfast was delicious. From the front gardens we had a stunning view and a lovely setting. It's only a short walk to the main town area, and we'll definitely come back. A huge thank you to our hosts.

Nancy was such a friendly, hospitable host and made sure our stay was pleasant. She thoughtfully had breakfast ready on time for our early departure. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It's a peaceful spot, with shops and restaurants in the town centre just an 8-minute walk away.
