Atholl Centre

The rooms were ideal for our large family, and the staff were friendly. Finding the place was tricky without a sign, as it’s tucked behind a church, and once there we couldn’t find signs for reception. Parking is awkward too, since it’s in the church car park, though I imagine not everyone arrives by car. All in all, it’s a great place.

Pitlochry’s beautiful surroundings and welcoming bars and restaurants are close by, and the place itself is wonderfully peaceful, with a lovely atmosphere. The owners and people running it are friendly, and the rooms are clean and warm. The Community Larder running alongside it is something the owners, visitors and local people can all be proud of. Everyone can find a little world of their own here.

The room was on the small side, but clean and cosy. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was included with a great selection to choose from.

The couple who run the centre are brilliant. They also put on a soup lunch most Fridays from October through April, and there are other things happening there too, so it’s worth looking it up. I loved being part of a Christmas meal with people who might not have family, or whose family live many miles away.
