The suite was comfortable and relaxing, on the top floor. It’s an attic conversion, so anyone over six feet tall may need to duck a little. I booked at very short notice on a bank holiday Sunday, when only one room was left, and paid a fair amount even after a discount. Dynamic pricing tends to do that. The room, staff and venue were all great. I wish I’d eaten in the hotel restaurant, but they were very good about bringing a meal up as room service. I couldn’t stay for breakfast because I wanted to leave as soon as possible given Monday’s bank holiday weather. I’m sure breakfast would have been great.

For one night, the bedroom was clean and cosy, if a little small, and the stay was generally comfortable. It’s about a ten-minute walk to Pitlochry town centre, with free parking on site. There’s also an Indian restaurant in the hotel, which is handy. The 4pm check-in felt inconvenient. Breakfast was described as complimentary, but we paid extra for a rate with breakfast included through Booking.com. We didn’t ask the staff about it at the time and assumed the room rate covered only a basic continental breakfast.

The chicken curry special was phenomenal, and it’s easy to see why the place was rated Scotland’s best Indian restaurant. Service was impeccable, the rooms spotless, and Aniket, the bartender, took great care of everyone and knew a lot about local Pitlochary whisky. A 10/10 stay. I’d highly recommend visiting the bar and restaurant even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

Such a cosy room, and the bed was so comfortable that we slept really well. Breakfast was delicious, served in a lovely restaurant area. Everyone was friendly, and the pubs aren’t too far to walk to.
