The cottage was spotless and just as described, and I felt safe and very comfortable travelling on my own. The hosts were amazing. It was a wonderful place to take a break from busy city life.

Update 08.24: My husband and I have been staying at Holmdale for six years now, three or four times a year. We love the peace and call the cabin our home from home. Raphaele and Michael are such kind, wonderful hosts and make sure you can have a restful stay. We're already looking forward to coming back. August 2018: A beautiful, quiet spot, with a comfortable cabin that had everything I needed. The owner was friendly and very helpful. There are lots of castles nearby, Camber Sands is a 10-minute drive, and Hastings has a shopping centre within 30 minutes. I knew I'd come back.

Raphaele is thoughtful and available if you need a hand. The cottages sit just outside Rye, with a nice sense of being tucked away in the Sussex countryside while still close enough to explore Rye and the surrounding 1066 country. A great little collection of places to stay. Bravo!

We've been back at least five times and each stay has been just as perfect as the last. It's a lovely cottage with a secure garden our dog adores, and the host is kind and caring. 6/5!

A lovely little cottage, nicely laid out, with a beautiful view. There's also a small suntrap spot to sit and take it in. The bed is comfortable and the shower gets hot, and it has everything you need for a short stay.
