Sefton Park chillpads

Martin, who runs the place, was very accommodating. He added a fourth bed at the last minute and let us check in early because we were attending a funeral. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and there was tea and coffee making equipment in the room. For the price, I can't fault it. It was just right for one night. If you want five-star accommodation, pay for it.

I've been really enjoying my time at Chillpads. The host is great, easy to reach and always looking for ways to improve things for the tenants. All the home appliances you need are there, and the cleaner comes often, so the place stays neat. I also like the atmosphere and how the building is right beside the bus stop. I don't have to walk far to catch a bus. Food shops are about 15 minutes away in any direction, and Sefton Park is just behind the building. If you love parks, go for it.

The location is fabulous, but we left bitterly disappointed after what had been a lovely day in a beautiful city. We let the owner or manager know we'd arrive around 5:30. Our room was clean, unlike the rest of the building, where extension cords ran everywhere. When I climbed onto one of the beds, I sank into it. It felt like all the springs had gone from the mattress, and I felt claustrophobic. The advertised tea and coffee setup was just two mugs on a table. We left at 10:30 and drove home.

For what you pay, you can't grumble. It's basic, but you get what's shown. The room was tidy and clean, the TV worked, and we slept well. There was a shared kitchen with tea, coffee, milk and bread for toast. The shower was shared too, but that wasn't a problem for us: nobody else was around, and we could lock the door. We were out enjoying Liverpool every day. Buses stop right outside, which was handy since we mostly used them. One night we took a taxi back from the Albert Dock for around £5-£7. We got an entry code by text when we arrived, and it was easy to use. My partner and I wanted to give the place 10 stars if we could. I thought I'd written a review four years ago, maybe on another site, though I can't remember. When we left, I foolishly lost my keys. I texted the owner, who found them and was amazing about posting them back to me free of charge. I really appreciate that, and we'll definitely come back. We love Liverpool too much not to.
