Holiday Inn Express Albert Dock by IHG

We had a nice view, and the hotel itself is really nice. The breakfast room is small, so they ask you to register for breakfast each day, which felt a bit odd. Some staff were really nice, but we weren't lucky at check-in or later at the bar, where two staff members were very rude. They need training on how to speak to customers and acknowledge them. At breakfast and check-out, though, we were treated much better, with smiles and a good attitude. I'd still definitely recommend the hotel.

The location was the big plus for us. It was so convenient, with a side door straight onto the dock. The room was a good size, and we liked the breakfast and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, and when we called reception about very loud neighbours on the first night, they dealt with it promptly. The neighbours were up all night and started singing around 4am. There were a few snags. The cot we'd requested ahead of time wasn't in the room when we arrived, but staff apologised and sorted it quickly. Parking was awkward, especially with a baby, and reception being on the second floor made it tricky to get advice when we arrived. The room also felt dark day and night, the decor was a bit tired, and one bed was comfortable while the other wasn't. A great location and some strong points, but the drawbacks affected our stay.

We had a great weekend here as a family group of 14. The view from the room was lovely, and the hotel is right at the docks, with only a short walk into the centre. The Beatles bus tour was right on our doorstep. The staff were really friendly, especially Tasha, who made all of us feel welcome. I hope to visit again soon.

Steven manager was top class and really helpful. I didn't fancy sharing with my brother, so he changed my room from a double to two singles. Everyone was very friendly, and breakfast was first class. Highly recommend. Wrapped up a great day with liverpool win. YNWA. IRISH RED.
