The spa was clean, had lots to do, and was really enjoyable. Our hot stone massages were incredible, and my masseuse, magdia, was amazing. The staff throughout the bar and restaurant were excellent, friendly, and always ready to help. The place looks beautiful inside and out. Truly worth a visit. From The Stanburys, room 40.

The room had lovely period details, with the tables beautifully set, and the toilets were spotless and accessible. Parking was good, too. Boringdon Hall and its location are steeped in history. We had a wonderful festive afternoon tea, with a superb tea selection and fine sandwiches, cakes, scones, jam, and clotted cream. The professional staff served everything with care. If you're treating yourself to festive afternoon tea, this is the place.

The spa is a real treat when you want a few hours to switch off, and the food is thoughtful. The staff generally make you feel cared for, while the old stone building, hidden corners, and slightly dramatic feel give Boringdon Hall plenty of character from the moment you arrive. Some areas could use freshening up, and parts of the experience feel more expensive than they should. The place can lean a bit heavily on its grand reputation. Still, it’s a lovely choice for a special occasion or a quiet escape, and it can be memorable when things come together.

The spa was the highlight of our getaway. We spent a blissful few hours there the next morning, too. It has steam rooms, saunas, hot and cold showers, a large heated pool, and a hydrotherapy pool that connects outdoors to a jacuzzi overlooking the countryside. It was one of the most relaxing afternoons we’ve had in years. Later, drinks by the log fire in the Great Hall bar made a lovely transition into the evening. Dinner at Michelin Star Àclèaf was extraordinary, a culinary experience we’ll cherish and a must for a stay. Breakfast the next morning at the Mayflower Brasserie restaurant was also fantastic, one of the best full English breakfasts I’ve ever had. We chose Boringdon Hall for my wife's birthday getaway, and the historic building on the hill made a special impression as soon as we arrived. We booked a Wellness Room with breakfast and upgraded to the Àclèaf dining package. The team welcomed us with refreshing drinks and got us settled quickly. Early check-in gave us more time to enjoy everything. Our Wellness Room was immaculate, with lovely views of the historic hall and a comfortable bed. It combined modern luxury with the old building's character. The bathroom was spotless and had generous, high-quality spa amenities. A birthday card and a champagne cork with a note inviting us to enjoy complimentary champagne in the great hall bar were a lovely touch. Everything was handled to a very high standard. It’s a special place, and we’ll certainly return.

Kelly gave me an amazing massage. She was outstanding, and I couldn't fault her. The spa facilities, though, were tired, with peeling paint near the hand dryers, small lockers, and thin, worn robes. The showers were being replaced, but nobody told us, so we couldn't use them. It was overcrowded and not very relaxing. We stayed overnight, and for the room price the experience wasn't anything special. When we tried to check out, the female receptionist on the phone didn't acknowledge us. The service and facilities didn't feel like they matched the price.
