The atmosphere was lively and the venue was acceptable, but the meal was a real letdown. My Greek salad cost over £15 and was just a few leaves from a supermarket bag, six or seven cubes of feta, and olives that I imagine came from a jar. Even the dressing did little to brighten it up. Possibly the worst value I've had in a pub.

The main frustration is the bar. People stand around chatting and drinking against it, so it's hard for staff to tell who's next, and I've waited as long as 20 minutes to get drinks for my group. When the weather's nice, the place gets exceptionally busy and even with lots of parking, finding a space can be difficult. There is on road parking too. There are good things here: friendly staff, decent food with plenty of choices, a comfortable, spacious indoor dining area, lots of outdoor tables, and a good outside area with play equipment for kids. It's a decent spot with plenty of parking and outdoor space. If you're fine with crowds and a wait, you'll probably enjoy it. Table service through an app, or keeping people from blocking the bar, would make a big difference for me.

We had a very good lunch, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Outside, there's a pleasant terrace and beer garden, with a large garden, playground, and mini footbal pitch.

The meal was great value at £15 per person, and everything arrived hot, in good portions, and tasted lovely. Four of us went for the pensioner Christmas lunch. We were seated on arrival by a friendly waiter, then had soup, turkey Christmas dinner for three of us and vegetable wellington for the vegetarian, followed by Christmas pudding for everyone. There was a singer playing guitar and Christmas songs while we ate, then some children from the local primary school came in and sang too. The staff served everyone promptly and did a great job. Nothing was too much trouble. With the tree and decorations in the pub and room, it was a lovely way to get in the Christmas mood.
