Premier Inn Plymouth City - Lockyers Quay

Our room was clean and tidy, if a little small, and the bathroom had a good-sized shower. For a one or two night stay, it was fine. The hotel is long and spread out, so our room was nearly as far from reception as possible. It's in a quiet part of Plymouth, close to the Barbican and national aquarium. If the small bridge is open from 0600 to 2300, access to the Barbican is quick; otherwise you have to walk around. The aquarium entrance is about 5 minutes away. This Premier Inn uses the pub for meals, while the other nearby one has an internal restaurant. I'd be happy to stay again, though it'd be helpful if guests got free parking instead of just a discounted rate.

The weekend deal was fab, with a great breakfast and evening meal, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The shower wasn't working properly, though. The fan stopped, water dripped from the ceiling and the floor got very wet. It's not far from schools and such. I'd use both the hotel and restaurant again.

The rooms were pretty standard and a bit dated, but I slept really well. The blackout blinds helped, and it was very quiet. Staff were lovely, chatty, and happy to help. The location was spot on for the sealife center and nearby places. Breakfast was tiny, poorly presented, and didn't taste good, so definitely not worth paying for. You'd be better off getting something you actually want elsewhere than filling up on little bits you don't. Search Katedoesfun for more.

A basic Premier Inn, with meals served at the pub across the way. The food and drink were good, and the room was very clean but plain. It does the job if all you need is somewhere to sleep for the night.
