Breakfast had a good selection and was nice, but I wouldn't stay in a Novotel again if this is typical. Our first room was dated, with dirty grout in the bathroom and chipped enamel on the bath. Once in bed, we noticed a horrible smell and found several wet stains on the mattress. When we told the housekeeper, they seemed to know about it and moved us to another room without a fuss. The bed there squeaked whenever we rolled over. Corridor doors and traffic outside kept us awake most of the night. Even the first impression was poor, with only two letters of the hotel sign lit up.
4/10
The price was reasonable, but the rooms badly need updating. There was only about a quarter of the usual TV channels, with the rest offered as pay-per-view. Internet in the rooms was expensive and wired, while Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. That area also usually smelled of the nearby sewage treatment plant.
