The price for two courses is really good, so I’d eat here again, and the rest of our party really enjoyed their meals. My roast beef and Yorkshire pudding came in generous portions, including three thick slices of beef. One was tender and delicious, but the other two were chewy and inedible. The crème brûlée was fine, though it could have had more flavour. I’ve been to a few Christmas functions here, which are always fun, and the food is generally pretty good. On this Friday evening, the service was great and the food was nice, if not amazing. Maybe I just got a bad cut of beef.

For £83, the single room had everything I needed, so I thought it was a bargain. I was on a motorcycle trip looking for a simple room and meal, and King’s Croft suited me well. The place has character and a real presence, with plenty of staff, which feels rare these days. Dinner and breakfast were decent, and there were lots of bars for a beer after the ride. It felt like going back in time, in a good way. I’d recommend it.

We had Sunday lunch as a family of six. The beef roast was 9.5/10, while the chicken and gammon were average. Roasts were around £17 each. Service was really good and the staff were friendly. The EV chargers didn’t work, which was annoying. Lovely location and atmosphere, but the food was disappointing overall.

We’ve eaten here over the last few years and I’ve never had a complaint. They delivered as always for the funeral service we held last year. The restaurant food is amazing and at a better price point. Well done, everyone. Www.discodanphotobooth.com
