Central Guest House

Denise gave me a very warm welcome and was helpful throughout. My ensuite room was clean, a little dated, and had a great view of the surrounding area. There's also a shared lounge with a microwave and a communal shower room. The place is nice enough, though a tad expensive, and sits at the top of a very steep mountain. Tighten your handbrake before staying here! I'd come back, but next time I won't get so drunk in the village before tackling that hill.

The owners, John and Denise, were lovely, and they've kept this beautiful B&B to a high standard. I felt very warmly welcomed and was happy with the service throughout my stay. The room was lovely, with a great shower and ensuite, and the location was ideal. Thanks so much!

The room was very clean and well maintained, as was the ensuite. The bed was excellent, with a comfortable mattress, duvet and pillows, and the optional breakfast was amazing. The building itself was also clean and well looked after. I booked three nights at a very reasonable price. The owners are fantastic, easy to talk to and accommodating. There was a booking issue: two rooms had been booked despite me reserving only one as a solo traveller. That may have happened at the last minute or been an Expedia mix-up, rather than being the owners' fault. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in the Cardiff/Rhondda area, with good links to the valleys by the A470, train or bus.

We had a double and a twin room, both nicely furnished with comfortable beds and spotless ensuites. Breakfast was included and very good. A lovely B&B with a warm welcome. I'd definitely stay again.
