The place has such a lovely feel to it. We stopped in today with our puppy, Dottie, and the staff were so warm and accommodating. Coffee, cawl and cake were all delicious 😋. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks, everyone, and all the best ❤️

The bar and lounge look amazing, and the renovation work the boys have done is fantastic. I’m really glad the lodge is reopening. Hopefully it’ll become the heart of the Afan valley!

The food was a real highlight: the bacon and chips were the best I’ve had in ages, and breakfast was super tasty. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful too. We brought our dog, who enjoyed her stay in her crate in the bedroom, and the building was clean, bright and airy. There’s plenty of parking and easy access to the cycle track for dog walks. Supporting community based tourism matters to me, so I like knowing my tourist pound goes back into the community. #FairTourism

After a long day hiking or mountain biking, this is a good place to stay, with a nice view. The hotel, bar and restaurant are dog friendly, and the staff looked after all our needs. The bed could’ve been more comfortable, but we had a pretty decent stay overall :)

I stopped at The Afan Lodge while walking my dog because it welcomes dogs. Sam & Fran served me and were absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful. On this sunny day, the views were beautiful and the atmosphere felt cosy. My pub lunch was amazing too. A lovely place to stop if you’re in the area 💗
