Cuddfan

We came in at an odd time, quite late for lunch, and had a bit of a wait. I think we caught the staff between shifts. Once it arrived, the food was hot and delicious, with generous portions. The homemade pizza had a thin base and plenty of tasty toppings. The place itself feels classy, with nice decor and period details, and the staff were polite and friendly. I’d recommend it.

After a lovely day at Snowdon, this turned into the most amazing stay. We’d read a few bad reviews and were a little nervous, but the staff were so friendly, efficient and attentive, and lovely to chat with. Dinner was gorgeous from starters through dessert. Our king room was in the spotless building next door, with modern art deco-style decor, a comfy bed and a great shower. We slept fantastically. The stay finished with a delicious full Welsh breakfast, and the staff were just as helpful, giving us ideas for places to visit. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Stuart and Stevie.

They sorted out a small room problem within five minutes of us mentioning it. The staff were warm, friendly and did everything they could to help. Our room was spacious, cosy and warm, even with frost outside, and breakfast was excellent. We’d happily stay again, and would book direct with the hotel for the free breakfast.

We stayed in the family room with our two children, while my in-laws had a room next door. The staff were thoughtful about putting us close together, let my little girl ring the desk bell whenever she came in, and were flexible about dinner seating. Everyone was kind and never acted as if anything was a bother, even with our disruptive four-year-old. It’s a lovely hotel with great food, and the pub sits in a nice square just outside Portmadog. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks for a lovely stay.
