Beryl made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to make the stay comfortable. She’s friendly, helpful and attentive, and the breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are cosy, clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, though there’s perhaps a bit much decor. There are pretty gardens at the front and back. Parking for guests is out front, but there’s no charging service for electric cars. A grocery store is across the road, and pubs, restaurants, shops and the waterfront are no more than a 10-minute walk into town. The B&B is easy to find. Be aware that bedrooms are up an internal staircase, so it isn’t suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties. I highly recommend staying here.

I love Criccieth. When my friend and I arrived in Wales without knowing the area, someone in Porthmadog told us about this house that takes guests. Beverly was so willing to help. She could only fit us in for one night, but phoned around and found us somewhere just up the road for the next night, as she’s usually booked up. The food was fine. There are only two rooms, but it’s well worth knowing about.

Beryl, the owner, was friendly, helpful and very accommodating, and breakfast was lovely. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need. The location was very convenient, close to lots of shops and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay and would come again.

We’d planned just one night in Porthmadog before heading to Liverpool, but ended up staying three, largely thanks to Beryl and Barry. We felt at home straight away and soon became friends. The house is lovely, with lush carpets, and our room was cosy and fully equipped. Beryl made delicious breakfasts, including a cheese omelette every day. The location worked well for local outings, with free parking in front and a supermarket across the street. Beryl also suggested several nearby sights and activities, and we enjoyed them all. We couldn’t have asked for more. We hope to return to Porthmadog, and already know where we’ll stay. Missing them already!

Our last-minute booking was accepted, and we had a lovely time. The hosts were polite and incredibly helpful. The hotel is clean, well equipped and perfectly located. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you!
