Premier Inn Portishead

The Premier Plus room was a step up from the standard one, with modern decor, a fridge, coffee pod machine, iron and board, hairdryer, and nice purple bathroom lighting. Staff were polite, and the place was clean and tidy. It’s probably worth paying extra if you find one of their deal rates, especially for a one-night stay.

The staff seemed to work well together. When I locked myself out by leaving the key in the room, the handyman let me back in while reception was busy. The hotel was very clean and staff were good, though breakfast was disappointing: we arrived just before the next batch and the food was too cold to eat. They should replace it when it gets cold instead of waiting for it to run out. The breakfast setup and staff let the hotel down a bit. I’d go back now I know how to find a hot breakfast. It’s a two-storey building without a lift, which could be an issue, and the booking app doesn’t make that very clear.

Breakfast was just as good as the food and staff, with a special mention for Kirsty. She was smiling, hardworking, caring, helpful, and very professional. The decor was lovely, the hotel newly refurbished, and the staff fantastic. Thanks for everything, it was an awesome stay.

The two women at reception really made the place for us. They were friendly with our boy and made it clear they’d do whatever they could if we needed anything. The room was excellent and the location worked well for the area. After staying at a Travelodge the night before, this place felt lightyears better.
