I booked at the last minute and was really glad I found this quaint little B&B. Margaret was lovely to deal with and very helpful. I spent five nights in the Lotus Room and slept like a baby every night. You do hear some road noise, especially from trucks revving their engines as they climb the steep hill, but otherwise I couldn't fault the stay. I left for work before breakfast was served at 0700, so I can't comment on it. I'd highly recommend this B&B.

We had nowhere much to hang our clothes in the room, just two hangers and four hooks. With wet coats, my wife had no place to put her dresses, which was my one small criticism. Parking on site is limited, and the two nearby free car parks are small and can get very busy. The location at the southern end of Fortuneswell is excellent, about a mile from Chesil Beach and a 15-minute uphill walk to the top of Portland. Nearby bus stops have regular service to Weymouth for only £2 each way. The B&B has a lovely period lounge for guests, individually decorated rooms, and freshly made breakfasts with local ingredients. The breakfast was excellent, and nothing seemed too much trouble.

A real gem in Portland. The owner is charming, the atmosphere is so relaxing, and the rooms are very comfortable and delightfully furnished. Breakfast was delicious too.

Margaret is a wonderful host, and the location is superb. The rooms are exquisite and really comfortable, and breakfast is the best. An absolutely first-class B&B.
