We felt at home straight away thanks to Scott, and the room and bathroom were both clean and roomy. Breakfast was a real highlight, with porridge, granola and pastries to start, tea or coffee and juice, then a freshly prepared main cooked just right. Dhu Varren train station is right outside, and West Strand is about a five-minute walk away. I'd happily recommend the Carrick and stay again.

The Carrick is spotless, comfortable and full of thoughtful details, and breakfast was fantastic. Scott and Emma were quick to respond and very attentive, with great knowledge of the area. They’re wonderful hosts, and the tasteful decor made the place feel especially welcoming. Don't hesitate to book.

Breakfast was freshly made to order and had plenty of choice. The assistant serving it was so friendly and helpful, and gave us ideas for places to see nearby. Scott was always happy to help, bringing anything we needed straight to our room, and even showed us around another room to point out its fireplace and other features. The rooms each have their own name and layout, and thoughtful touches like bathrobes, Twirl bars and a welcome drink showed how much care he puts into the hotel. It was very clean and impressive, with many original features still intact. We had a relaxing stay and plan to return.

We stayed for the airshow and this is easily the best B+B we've tried. The hosts were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We'll be back soon, can't wait 😁

Scott made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived tired with our Welsh friends and were welcomed with complimentary wine and beers. The hospitality was great, and the rooms looked stunning, with lovely extras like bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was great too. Loved our stay, it felt like home, and we'll definitely be back.
