The Wee Snug

The apartment had everything I needed and was lovely. Shops and restaurants are nearby, and the beach is just a two-minute walk away. Couldn't ask for better, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

I booked and paid for one night, then was told my dog was too big for the apartment, even though the listing says dogs are allowed. By then I'd arranged reservations and made plans, and was told to cancel. I'm really frustrated and feel misled. The listing should say which dogs are accepted.

It was sad to see how run down the apartment has become, because years ago, when it looked like the pictures, it was a great wee place. This was my third stay. We waited half an hour outside before the owners finally sent the access code. Inside, it looked tired: stained and burned carpets, a living-room table with burns and chips, and a balcony in bad disrepair. The bathroom mirror lights didn't work, there was damp damage on the living-room wall, and the whole place smelled damp. That may explain why the heating took so long to warm it up. The hallway blind was torn and the kitchen blind broken. I fixed the kitchen one myself so we could close it and have more privacy.

The Wee Snug was clean and comfortable, just right for our quick trip. We enjoyed staying there.
