We were glad to find an accessible ground-floor room where our dog could stay too. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was fabulous and wheelchair friendly. They’re very dog friendly, with food and water bowls, plenty of treats, a poo bag, and useful directions for walking the dog. There’s no food on offer, but loads of cafés are close by. We also liked having a nice area to eat takeaway, make a hot drink, or just hang out with friends. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Game of Thrones guest house was clean but basic, and could be better. Check-in was faultless and the staff were excellent, but our small family room had no tea or coffee facilities. The en-suite was tiny and uncomfortable to use, with a minute sink that was difficult to use and no hot water. Breakfast was average overall. When my daughter asked for boiled eggs, a staff member came back from the kitchen and said they were too busy to make them, asking her to choose something else.

KEN was incredibly hospitable and kind, with wonderful stories that made us feel so welcome. I’ve been travelling nonstop for two months, including a month in the UK, and nobody else in hospitality has come close to him. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed just one night, but would have stayed longer if our plans allowed. Trevor put out a lovely breakfast spread, and the bacon and tomatoes were my favourites, so I went back for seconds. The tea and coffee were really nice, there was lots to choose from, and they let us take snacks and little cookie packs for our long drive. Both Ken and Trevor waved goodbye. There isn’t much to do with GOT, but the little nods to the show around the place were enough for us. Thanks for a wonderful night and a great breakfast!

The reception staff were really friendly, and the room was kept neat and tidy. I especially liked the excellent shower and the great Wi-Fi. Housekeeping did a lovely job too. Best hotel I've stayed at so far, and such good value.

We had a really relaxing stay at the Game of thrones b&b. The staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast had plenty of choice. We both enjoyed the cooked breakfast. It’s a beautiful B&B with gorgeous views, and we'd happily come back.
