Premier Inn Norwich East - Broadlands/A47

The room was warm and the bed comfortable, though there was a musty smell when we first arrived. Our ground-floor room, especially the bathroom, looked a bit more worn than the room our friends had on the second floor. Still, it was good value, and we’d come back. We were here to meet friends and made good use of the plentiful free breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were easy, and parking was free.

There’s a restaurant and bar on site, with another restaurant just across from the hotel, and the whole place is wheelchair accessible. This was my first time at this particular Premier Inn, and it was another great stay. I tried the self check-in for the first time too. It was quick and easy. I didn’t talk much with the staff, but they seemed professional and polite.

We slept well and breakfast was the usual, so we were on our way home from Norfolk in good time. The restaurant was busy and running well behind. We waited nearly an hour after ordering, and had to ask about our food in the end. Apart from that, things were good, and we relaxed with a drink and a chat. I’d stay here again. It was convenient and easy to find with GPS in a part of Norwich we didn’t know, on the city’s eastern side. There’s plenty of parking, but you have to register your vehicle at the machine in reception. When we arrived, nobody was at reception, so we used the check-in machines, authorised our key and found our room. It was clean and tidy, to the usual Premier Inn standard, though it showed some harder use. Both coat hooks by the door were broken. Everything else was fine. When we went back to the car to unload, someone had arrived at reception. We checked the meal times with them, since you can’t book a timed slot at the machines and need to speak to a person.

The meal deal for dinner and breakfast was great value and good quality. Staff were helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Everyone I met, from reception and the bar to the meal service and cleaning staff, was great. As a solo traveller, I especially appreciated that. Thank you! The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. It’s also an excellent spot for getting to Norwich and the surrounding county, with plenty of parking and an easy-to-find location.
