The Beaches Hotel and Spa

The buffet was fresh and nicely laid out, and our family and friends were very pleased with how the day went. Elizabeth Mason and the team gave us good advice while arranging my father-in-law's wake. They were brilliant and nothing seemed like too much trouble. They helped make a warm, dignified day that got our family through a difficult time.

A good base for exploring this part of Wales, with plenty of room in the car park. The rooms were clean, comfortable and a decent size. Breakfast was great, and it was handy to have decaf coffee and tea, which many places don't offer. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Room 223 was lovely, with a lovely bathroom, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The pool was one of the best we've used, clean, well kept and just the right temperature. The food was nice, but I wouldn't call it four-star quality. The crumble was broken biscuits, still visibly biscuits, and the apple stalks and cherry stones hadn't been removed before cooking, which was a bit disappointing. The area around the hotel isn't the nicest to explore. Still, the staff, pool and food make us want to go again.

Everything was clean and the facilities were excellent. Our room, the staff, service and breakfast were all 10/10. We really enjoyed staying here and plan to come back a few times during the year. Thank you :)
