Hilltop Country House

We were so glad we chose Hilltop. The food was delicious all day, including the evening pizza, and I loved the personal pizza we got at the end of the night. The drinks and cocktails were great too. Leah was a huge part of why everything went so smoothly, and we couldn’t have done it without her. The whole team was lovely and friendly, and they were mindful of allergies among me and some of our guests, which we really appreciated. The house, grounds and location are beautiful, with a relaxed feel. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, and we were very relieved the staff had packed up our things while we were tired and hungover.

The grounds are stunning, the catering was fabulous, and the marquee even has a separate disco room. As an entertainment booking company, we work at all sorts of venues, but Hilltop really stood out. The rooms have lovely decor and thoughtful interior design, with high quality toiletries too. The staff made the event easy and enjoyable to work at. Beth was always on hand to help, and Claire, the hostess and lady of the house, made our stay with her warm, caring manner. We look forward to seeing her and the team again, and we'll be recommending Hilltop to our clients.

The day had a relaxed pace, and the welcoming, attentive, professional staff helped everything run smoothly for everyone. I photographed Bethany and Ben’s spring wedding at Hilltop Country House, and it was lovely from beginning to end. After working there as a wedding photographer for 14 years, I still think it’s a brilliant venue. Its elegant interiors and pretty grounds are great for natural, relaxed photos.

Clare welcomed us so warmly at our viewing that we left knowing we'd found our wedding venue. We'd only planned a small registry ceremony with a few friends and family, but booked a visit to Hilltop on a whim. Clare showed us around, then we had tea and talked about what our day could be like. Beth was so kind, patient and attentive while helping us plan. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and Hilltop was a big reason it felt so perfect, along with our lovely suppliers. The gardens gave us the best photo opportunities, and there was great food, lovely rooms, space to get ready, kind staff and a brilliant evening party. It's become a special place for us, and we can't wait to return for our anniversary. We wish we could do that day over and over.
