Our border collie was welcome, and we had a lovely experience at Gibbon Bridge while travelling around different parts of the UK. The staff were very considerate. When I was unwell on our first morning and couldn't come down for breakfast, they kindly brought me toast. Our bedroom was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and chairs and a stunning wet room. We also enjoyed two lovely dinners. Thank you, everyone.

The room was the letdown. We had suite 1, which felt dark and oppressive, and looked dated. The rest of the hotel was quite an experience, with a lounge like a ski lodge, an open fire and lovely grounds. The whole place felt like stepping back in time. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic, and the staff efficient. It was our first time visiting the Forest of Bowland, a stunning area.

We had lunch with our elderly relatives. There wasn't much choice on the menu, but everything we ordered was excellent, tasty and nicely presented. The dining room carpet needs a thorough clean or replacement, and the place could use a general refresh. The gardens are exceptional, and it's a beautiful setting for weddings and similar events.

The staff we met were helpful, and the area is lovely. The hotel looked good at first, but a closer look showed how much work it needs, especially for the prices. The rooms were very tired, with old furniture hidden under covers. Our double bed was two single beds pushed together, with separate single duvets, which felt very odd.
