Please avoid this place. We booked two nights but couldn’t face staying the second night because the apartment was awful and we didn’t feel safe in the area with our small child. The area was horrible, which may explain why there are no pictures on the website. The apartment was dirty and smelled of stale smoke and mustiness, and the door lock was too small. Staff were rude and emails didn’t arrive. We were charged double for early check-in, but they wouldn’t refund it, even though we couldn’t find the place and didn’t end up being early. I travel all over the UK for work, and this was by far my worst stay. Also, the day before, they demand a £100 security deposit and won’t give you the access code until it’s paid, even if you’ve already paid for the rooms. Please, please avoid.

We stayed on 23rd March and had no sleep at all. An alarm right outside our room door in the hallway blared constantly for hours and wasn’t dealt with until around 6-7am. My husband then had to drive home exhausted. I emailed a complaint and got no reply, and some money back would have been appreciated. The booking showed £59, but they added a £30 cleaning fee when we went to book, then still asked us to leave the room clean and tidy. Isn’t that what the fee is for? Charging after the fact would make more sense than charging upfront. The cooker hob was filthy as well. No chance I’d stay here again.

I stayed for six days, and the room was just like the photo online. When we got lost, the staff were helpful and directed us to parking. The one frustrating thing was the shower going cold halfway through, especially after a long day at work. Please look into that. Otherwise, a thumbs up from me 👍🏾

The cosy rooms had clean bed linen and Snow White towels, and the location is great for the city centre. The place could be cleaner, though. Finding it was extremely difficult because there’s no sign outside. We stayed in the basement room, and the outside and steps down were a disgrace: no lighting, worn steps covered in leaves, and very slippery in the rain. A handrail would definitely help. With a little more care and TLC, this place could be fantastic. It has so much potential, but would I stay again? No.
