The breakfasts are a real highlight, from the full English and perfectly cooked eggs to the pancakes, homemade bread toast and porridge. There was plenty to choose from, and the local produce was lovely. I’ve visited Duchy House B&B four times now, and it still never disappoints. Caroline and Richard are so welcoming, and their knowledge of local walks and places to eat was helpful whenever I had a question. The Dartmoor-inspired rooms are beautifully done, with spotless bathrooms and bedrooms, powerful hot showers and beds I never wanted to leave. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and delicious flapjack in the room were thoughtful touches. I recommend Duchy B&B to friends and family because I’m sure they’d love the whole stay as much as I do.

We had two rooms because my parents came along, and they enjoyed their stay too. From our room we could see across the Moor, while theirs looked over the garden. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with ingredients from local suppliers and homemade bread. The rooms were spotless and cozy, and the place felt warm and comfortable. Caroline and Richard were lovely hosts and made us feel at home. We had a relaxing, enjoyable visit and would happily come back. Thanks for the hospitality.

I enjoyed my time at The Duchy and would highly recommend it. It’s a well kept, nicely appointed B&B in the heart of Dartmoor, with breakfasts made to order and Caroline’s homemade bread. Richard and Caroline were great hosts, and very forgiving when I accidentally overflowed a sink.

We loved our short stop at Duchy House during our motorbike tour of Devon and Cornwall. Having somewhere onsite to park the bikes was a bonus, and the pub was only a couple of minutes away on foot after our delicious meal there. Our room was clean, comfortable and had what we needed for a brief stay, with a nice home-from-home feel. The homemade treat with a cup of tea was a lovely touch. Communication made self check-in easy, and the host suggested a great nearby evening walk to catch the sunset. Breakfast was delicious too. A little gem in beautiful Dartmoor, highly recommend.

The people running this B&B are lovely, and the place is spotless with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent too. I’d recommend it without hesitation.
