The harbour is nearby, with plenty of lovely places to walk or run, and breakfast was included. The welcome at reception was warm, and I was given all the information I needed. My upstairs room was spacious, though the shower room was tiny. The shower itself was hot and had good pressure, and the WiFi was excellent. The bed had a double mattress, but one side was very lumpy; I only discovered the other side was firm and comfortable the next morning. There’s a small car park beside the building, plus a free public car park across the road with 55 spaces. I’d stayed here before and would come back if I’m in the area again.

We had a great stay. There are several pubs within a five-minute walk, with food and entertainment. Our room was clean, tidy, modern, and faultless, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. Breakfast was about what you’d expect for the price.

The staff made us feel right at home, always polite and friendly, and went out of their way to help. Our child has anaphylactic allergies, and on both days the staff and chef made sure breakfast was safe. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. We’ve already talked about coming back around Christmas, and we’ll definitely book a few weeks in summer for the ferry trip. Thanks for having us, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone again. We’d give this hidden gem 10 stars if we could. It’s easily the best hotel we’ve stayed at, and we’d highly recommend it.

Breakfast was filling and did the job. The hotel had a lively, friendly feel, and our room was spacious and clean. We were welcomed and shown to it, and the kind, thoughtful staff were helpful and around whenever we needed them. They were working hard with the hotel full.

Parking is the main drawback, with room for very few cars, so I had to use the pay-and-display lot opposite. Still, if you need to stay on the Isle of Sheppey, this is decent accommodation. Breakfast is served, and you can bring in food from the chippy next door.
