The breakfast was a highlight, especially the delicious pastries from a local bakery and the best coffee I've had at a hotel or guest house. The hostess was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean, with a very comfortable bed and quirky theme details that gave it plenty of character. We didn't get to try the bar because we were there for a party elsewhere, but the ales and other drinks looked like a good selection. If you enjoy a place with some character, I'd happily recommend The Little Tree. We felt welcome and comfortable.

SP is a delightful owner, and her two gorgeous little dogs made me feel welcome too. Every room has its own theme. Mine had an amazing bed hanging from chains, and I slept really comfortably. This is a totally unique experience, nothing like anywhere else I've stayed. It's not your average hotel, but if you're after something different, this is the place. Jules.Blackheath , London .

We stayed in the 'Wild room', complete with footsteps and a pith hat. Lovely quirky place, fabulous host and a delicious breakfast. The Little Tree is what it is, and that's what you get. If you're looking for a different sort of stay, I'd recommend it. We loved it and would definitely book again.

There was dog poop on the floor in the breakfast room, food and electrical items in the toilet, and some dodgy artwork. We didn't want to stay and asked for our money back, but the cheque she gave me bounced. Disgusting.

Odd place, very cluttered. The room was okay, but the bed was made of chains and shook a lot. There was no breakfast, and the shower didn't work.
