The Oak Hotel

The location right on the marina is fab, with bars and restaurants along the water, and the room was clean and comfortable. Andy and his team were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. He even let us check in early, and we had a lovely lunch at the cafe while we waited. Such good value. Noise is the one issue, so ask about the room if sleep matters to you. The front is known to be noisy because of the bars. We were at the back, but could still hear the band at the pub next door. We might have enjoyed it more without our young child. A huge family in the penthouse above us was also very loud, with screaming kids at night and running around, and we had to go up there once. If that would bother you, ask whether another room is possible. I'm sure Andy would accommodate a request if he can. We'd happily return, thanks!

Friday and Saturday nights can get noisy from the marina bars, so don't expect an early night in a sea view room. I was warned ahead of time and offered a quieter room towards the back, which was thoughtful. The host was excellent and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy, with tea, coffee, towels and toiletries. The place looks over the marina and is well placed for town, shops and seafront walks. Broadstairs is only two miles away via a coastal walk. Just the respite I needed, and I'd definitely come back.

We had a brilliant night celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday at the Royal Oak Hotel in Ramsgate. The venue worked perfectly for our party, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We'd use it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a venue.

The rooms were spacious, quiet and very clean, and the food was delicious. There were lots of breakfast options too. The staff made us feel so welcome, almost like we were at home. A wonderful hotel, and we'll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!
