We held a wedding ceremony and reception here. It was windy, but guests could still sit in the courtyard as well as use the indoor spaces. The main barn conversion room worked nicely for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing later on. The food was tasty too.

We found this cottage a handy Airbnb for a visit to Basildon Park (National Trust). It's on an Equestrian facility with a couple of cottages available to rent. The main venue also holds weddings, and its period buildings make for unusual photos. Our host was welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. If you like older buildings and somewhere a bit out of the ordinary, I'd recommend it 😊

Nicky, Maggie and the team helped us with every detail, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The barn, location, and grounds looked stunning, and so many people commented on how beautiful it all was. We had our wedding here on 28th May 2022, and the day was magical from beginning to end, beyond what we imagined. Maggie, thank you for the breakfast the next morning, just what we needed. Thanks so much, from the kings!

We loved the gorgeous barn and the equally lovely grounds around it. It's beautifully decorated and wonderfully picturesque, with attentive, efficient staff. A brilliant choice for a wedding.

I photographed Sian and Stuarts wedding here this past summer, and would definitely recommend the place. The countryside views behind the barn are lovely, especially at sunset, and make for some great photos. Philip Quinnell Photography
