Merrick House Apartments

The bedding for the sofa was badly stained, and when we raised the issues, they tried to say we had caused the stains and denied that any tiles were broken. We even sent a screenshot of another complaint about the same problems in the apartment from over a year earlier. The bathroom is dated, with cracked floor tiles and no plugs for the kitchen sink, bath or basin. There are two small double beds and a sofa, but it isn't a sofa bed, so this place isn't suitable for five people. It was disappointing for all of us. They offered £10 compensation. I’d strongly advise against staying here. It’s dated, dirty and disgusting.

I haven't noticed the antisocial behaviour people mentioned from those outside the building, so perhaps it was short-lived. It'd be useful to hear an update from that reviewer. The estate is nice, local services are good, and transport links and amenities are great.

The area is nice, and Hallmark keeps the place in pretty good order. There are still social problems, though, with random kids coming in from nearby and damaging property.
