The desserts were a real highlight, especially that little crème brûlée. We met friends for Sunday lunch and the staff made extra space without fuss because one of our group was using crutches. Our special requests were also handled easily. The food was beautifully presented, with a good choice, and the service was great. A relaxing, enjoyable lunch. Definitely worth trying if you're nearby.

Alice, the manager, looked after us so well and kept checking in, while making sure we felt comfortable. We had dinner with friends at The Hinds Head, and the cheeseburgers were cooked just right. The third person in our group really enjoyed the sausages and mash. Frankie the landlady is always so welcoming when we come in. Thanks for having us, we'll be back soon.

We decided on a spontaneous Saturday lunch and were seated quickly. The old pub is lovely, with plenty of space inside and its own car park. I had fish and chips, my husband chose the chicken supreme, and both were lovely. The chocolate brownie was the best we've ever tasted. Thanks for taking care of us. We'll definitely return.

The pies are well worth recommending, and the staff, Libby and Yvonne, were very friendly. Our evening meal was enjoyable, though it took a while to reach the table. They explained they were handling a large party as well as the dining room.

I ate here twice while visiting friends who live nearby, and both meals were hot and delicious. The atmosphere was great on each visit, once in the vault and once in the restaurant. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm visiting from Australia.
