The Mill House

The food was next level. I rarely give a meal top marks twice, let alone three times! I arrived in a panic without a booking, but Mark the owner found room for me at short notice. The room was beautifully decorated, full of gorgeous features. This family run, much loved retreat is so peaceful and beautiful. The drive up to the grand old family home is a spectacular arrival on its own. A friendly, eloquent gentleman greeted me at the steps and was so understanding about my panicky arrival. The whole staff are charming, polite and unbelievably friendly. What a treat. I will return to this beautifully managed sanctuary. Best wishes Mark and Kim.

Our family wedding weekend at The Mill House was made special by the outstanding staff. Their warmth, hard work and professionalism meant a lot to us, and we're grateful for everything they did. The country garden was beautifully kept and gave us a stunning, peaceful place to sit together. The spacious marquee had plenty of room for eating and dancing. The venue itself was beautiful, with comfortable, roomy bedrooms that made everyone feel at home, and the relaxed atmosphere set a lovely tone for the weekend. We couldn't have been happier and wholeheartedly recommend it for weddings, family gatherings or corporate events. A huge thank you to the whole team.

Our small, select wedding at the Mill House was yesterday, and the venue and team were second to none. The guests loved the place, and we were lucky with the weather, so we could enjoy the gardens. People kept saying how fabulous the food was, especially given the shedload of gluten free, dairy free and vegan requirements. The team handled it all without drama. From our first phone call, they listened and were helpful and supportive. We wanted a fun, relaxed wedding, and they helped us make that happen. We don't plan to get married again, but if you do, this place is hard to beat.

The food was outstanding, the wedding package pricing was competitive, and we had so much flexibility to make the day feel right for us. My wife and I got married here in October 2025, and the day was absolutely faultless. We didn't have to worry about a thing, which says a lot about the amazing Mill House staff.
