I’d forgotten how good it feels to have a proper meal in a nice setting with really helpful staff, but I found that again today, the 29th November. The carvery was hot, and the meat was cooked beautifully, you could say to perfection. The large room was well lit and a comfortable temperature, with the air conditioning kicking in if needed. There was a menu on the wall like the one in the picture, and menus on the tables.

The carvery was excellent value, and judging by how busy it gets, booking is a good idea. There’s plenty of choice on the dessert menu, and the staff presented it nicely. The coffee was good too. The basics were plentiful and hot, with tender, flavourful roast beef, top 10 toasties, and crispy, tasty yorkies. Parking is a very tight fit, though there are plenty of spaces at Fisherman's square, 100m away.

It’s lovely waking up and crossing the road to be right by the sea. The town is a British seaside town, and the other way there’s a lovely walk along a paved path. The restaurant and bar are lovely, and the food is good. Breakfast was delicious, as was the carvery lunch. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and professional. The rooms are clean, though a bit tired.

I stayed one night in a sea view room. It was a short walk to the town centre, with a nice clean room, comfy bed, and pleasant en suite. Breakfast had a good selection, and the staff were great. I’ll visit again.

The food was great and well priced, and the staff were friendly, approachable, and really nice. It’s a bit outdated but well located. I’d stay here again without a problem.
