Travelodge Redhill Town Centre

Nice staff, a clean looking room, working TV and a warm shower. Everything except the entrance is on the fourth or fifth floor. My only complaints were that the radiator made a faint high pitched noise now and then, though I could switch it off at the mains, and the USB ports were loose and didn't work. The plugs themselves were fine. I didn't pay for breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay of more than two weeks while visiting family. The room was spacious, clean and had everything I needed, though a small fridge would have been handy. It's centrally located, with a Sainsbury's nearby, plenty of fast food and restaurants, and the train station close by. Breakfast at 10.75 is a bargain. I'll likely be back. That recent review by Mr O B is just rubbish, mate, it's a Travelodge, not the Hilton.

Corporate office handled my complaint sensibly and gave me a refund, but the manager was unbelievably rude when I raised the problems. He insisted I was wrong and told me to go somewhere else if I wasn't happy. The room stank, the bedsheets were horrid and clearly hadn't been changed or washed, and the amenities were dirty. The bathroom was filthy, with grime, limescale and mould all over the shower sealant. There were only about 10 pieces of toilet paper left and no spare. Avoid this particular Travelodge entirely.

A quiet, clean and tidy budget room with everything we needed after arriving late at Gatwick airport. Getting in felt very secure, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. A great Travelodge.
