Steve was a great host and really supported us during our mountain biking weekend around Elan valley. The room was excellent, and breakfast was fabulous.

I booked this for a couple of nights while attending the Sweet Lamb adventure bike weekend. It was very reasonably priced, and I was glad I found it. The house is beautiful, the rooms are lovely and well appointed, and the host was helpful and gracious. It’s perfectly situated, and I’d stay again if I’m in the area. The entrance to the car park is a bit narrow, but I managed to get in and out several times in a Ford Galaxy without any trouble, so most cars should fit. They probably weren’t thinking about that 250 years ago. The W3W address for the entrance is ///sedated.scarcely.encoding. Thanks Steve!

We’ve stayed at The Penrally House twice and are hoping to come back soon. Steve is a great host, and the hotel and rooms are lovely. Breakfast is AMAZING! The lakes and the Red Kites are an extra treat.

The large landscaped gardens were lovely for a quiet stroll, and breakfast was outstanding. We stayed in a big historic bedroom with a Four-Poster Bed, a well-equipped private bath suite and some beautiful antiques. It’s a Grade 2 Listed Historic House right in the Centre of Rhayader, with a wonderful atmosphere and great service. Steve was a sensitive and supportive host throughout. Recommended, 5/5!

Steve, the owner, is a top guy and can’t do enough for you. We felt right at home, and the full cooked breakfast was lovely. It’s a great base for exploring Wales, right in the heart of the village, with loads of parking around the back. We were on motorcycles and even got the luxury of parking under a car port. Lovely B&B.
