I chose it for an inexpensive overnight stop, and the standard was good for a no-frills stay. I was happy with how things ended up: after I spoke to head office, they contacted Horizon and the 51 pound fine was cancelled, with speedy service. But I hadn't been told about the parking rules. I parked outside the hotel, arrived late and tired, then got the fine for breaching the terms. I wish the staff member had pointed it out. Thank you Travelodge for sorting it out.

The receptionist welcomed me warmly, and I got the last room after fog and road closures forced an unplanned overnight stop. I slept really well, and the breakfast at the Hog & Hedge next door was fab too.

The accessible setup wasn't great. There were no bedside tables or plugs, and every room has a bath with a shower over it, which isn't easy to use.

Louise on reception was amazing, really helpful and a great representative for the hotel. I stayed one night, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed.

Helen was a big help when we arrived, getting us extra bedding. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was surprisingly quiet. We had fabulous meals at The Post Inn, which was walkable from the accommodation, thanks to Helen's recommendation.
