The Great Malvern Hotel

The meals were freshly cooked and top notch, and the staff were lovely and friendly to a tired traveler. The room was fresh and comfortable, with a great shower. For a day or two hiking the Malvern hills, the hotel’s location is just right. Twelve out of ten every time.

We tried lunch here while visiting Great Malvern today and were so glad we did. The pie we both ordered was mouthwatering, and the food was delicious. Emma was wonderful, welcoming and helpful, and treated us as if we were in her own home. Thanks to her and the chef. We’ll be back.

Jeremy and Rani deserve a big shout-out for making our large group feel welcome and handling us so well. The food was a big draw, and the beer selection was wonderful, in better condition than at other local pubs. This is a quirky independent hotel with little touches that set it apart, including the self-deprecating joke about the crappy car park. Most of all, you feel special as a guest.

The location is central and well placed, and the included breakfast was generous. Our 'room' was actually a well equipped apartment across the street from the hotel, which made for a strange setup. The first staff member we met at the hotel was brusque, almost rude, though the others were more welcoming.
