Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including cereals, different cheeses, ham, fruit juice and delicious homemade bread. The bathroom was just right, with a good-sized shower and soaps provided. My room was lovely, roomy and warm, with beautiful garden views and, when the weather allowed, distant views of the Snowdonia mountains. Patrick and Lisa were wonderful hosts, happy to chat and share information about places to visit. I started my stay with a warm welcome and a cup of tea, and they looked after me so well throughout. I'm hoping to visit again this year, or next if I can't make it. My best wishes to you both, and thanks for everything. Tony

My daughter and I stayed last weekend, and we felt at home straight away. Lisa and Paddy were friendly and welcoming. The place is a lovely peaceful oasis just outside Amlwch. Our huge room had patio doors opening onto the garden, which was a nice bonus. There was a wide choice for continental breakfast and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay with our daughter. Paddy and Lisa were so welcoming and kind, and even gave her some lovely books that she absolutely loves. The room was spacious and modern, with access to a garden that looked beautiful at night. The mattress was a little hard, though the memory foam pillows helped. Bathroom 2's shower cubicle is small but manageable, and the bathroom itself is small too, which was fine. Breakfast was good, with homemade bread, deli meats, fruit, cheese, cereals, fresh orange juice and homemade jam. An amazing little gem of a place. We're hoping to book again next year.

After just one night, I felt like I'd had a retreat, and I'm already planning to return. Lisa and Paddy made me feel completely at home with such a warm, personal welcome. The building is beautiful, the grounds are idyllic, and the views are world class. It's so peaceful and relaxed. I had the best night's sleep in ages, then a long, easy breakfast in a lovely space, with really good food and freshly baked bread. They even insisted I make sandwiches for the trip home. There's a steaming hot shower, Sky TV and a hammock in a private field, everything you need. Great people, great place and excellent value. I recommend it 1000%. Thanks to you both, you're wonderful!

For a peaceful, relaxing break, The Old Rectory is an easy recommendation. The place is comfortable, with fantastic views, a lovely continental breakfast and friendly, helpful hosts who were good fun too. It's a very nice family, and even the dogs are laid back. There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. Thanks, Lisa and Paddy. X
