Travelodge Rhyl Seafront

We only booked a room because we didn’t want to travel back after the show at the Theatre next door, and expected little more than a bed for the night. Instead, we were pleasantly surprised throughout. The welcome was warm and attentive, and our clean sea-view room was lovely and toasty, with a comfortable bed and plenty of tea supplies. We ate at the hotel before the theatre and the food was freshly cooked and tasty. I’d planned to get up early for breakfast to avoid a congealed, lukewarm mess, but overslept and went down at 9.30am. The breakfast was fresh and really tasty, with the food stations replenished as needed instead of being bulk-cooked and left to dry out. Every staff member we met was smiling and attentive, and they seemed to work well together. The whole stay felt like a five-star experience.

The room was lovely and clean, with spotless beds, soft towels and lovely pillows. It was easy to get to the beach and town centre, and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Collette in the restaurant was especially helpful, and my grandchildren loved the pancakes she made for them. They didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you all, you should be proud of yourselves.

I haven’t stayed at this particular Travelodge yet, but I sometimes pop in early for breakfast. The restaurant is very clean and accommodating, and there’s a plentiful choice, with all-you-can-eat breakfast that’s really tasty. The full English was cooked well without being overdone or too greasy. Chef Collette does a great job and is very friendly and professional. I’ll be back. Five stars from me.

The sea view was beautiful, the location was great and the room was spotless. All the staff were lovely, especially Neil, who went out of his way to help and really went above and beyond. He was so good I thought he was the manager. I reckon he’ll be a manager one day. I’ll stay here often. Keep up the good work, and many thanks. Karl. 👍
