Lovely walks start right outside the front door, and Bay Tree Cottage is ideally placed for getting into Richmond centre. We spent a few days there and found it beautifully furnished, well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and the bath towels were lovely and big. Our host answered questions very quickly. We’d definitely stay again if we’re back in Richmond. Thank you.

We felt right at home thanks to the owners, and would definitely come back. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed, with a great spot for exploring the town and nearby area.

The log burner was going every night, warm and hypnotic to sit by. This place is a real gem, spotlessly clean, with a much appreciated welcome pack and everything needed for a relaxing stay. The decor and furnishings are tasteful, and the beds were comfy with cosy bedding and lovely lighting. We’ll definitely be back.

There are excellent walks right from the doorstep, and the cottage makes a great base for Swaledale and the surrounding area. We first spotted it during a day in Richmond, then booked after reading the reviews. We weren’t disappointed: communication was excellent and it’s a first class, well equipped place for self catering. We’ll recommend it.

Our dog was safe in the back courtyard, which was also a lovely little suntrap. Parking right outside was a bonus, and the location worked well for the town. The cottage was very clean and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and huge fluffy towels. The owners communicated well and were friendly, with helpful suggestions. We loved Richmond and the surrounding area, and would recommend the place and hope to return.
