The Sunday roast had a thoughtful vegan touch: when I told them I was vegan, they prepared a vegan cauliflower cheese side dish for me. The food is carefully made, the menu changes often, and the attention to detail is out of this world. The cosy decor and welcoming staff make it a lovely place for a special occasion or a catch-up with friends or family. These guys are amazing. Can't wait to visit again!
The cosy atmosphere, candles and good tunes made for a lovely time, and the food was great. Matt, the vibe king, helped us pick some lovely whiskeys. The staff were friendly too. From Jack and Phoebe.
We stopped at The Bruce Arms for lunch today, and everything was amazing. The roast was honestly the best I've ever had, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If I could afford to move to West Tanfield just to eat here every night, I would!
I visited while on a training course but didn't stay overnight. It's a really cosy pub with the feel of a proper traditional one, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They're dog friendly too. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
The pork chops were a particular favourite, and the portions were very generous. Staff were incredibly friendly and helped me work out what was gluten free as a coeliac. Being able to eat out with confidence is always a massive plus.
