The dining room looks out over fields and across St. Brides Bay to Skomer, and the cooked breakfast was beautifully presented and done just right. There were plenty of standard breakfast choices, and I understand they can handle special diets if you let the proprietor know when booking. My room was spotless, well decorated and had everything needed to make hot drinks. The bed was very comfortable, and the en-suite was spotless too. The proprietors were welcoming, friendly and courteous. Don’t let the surprisingly low nightly rates put you off. I’m happy to recommend this guest house to anyone staying nearby. It’s a great example of how a B&B should be run, and I’ll come back if they’ll have me.

We had a lovely three-night Easter stay. Julie and Anthony really show how a Bed & Breakfast should be run. Breakfast was lovely, with locally sourced sausages and bacon, lava bread, and homemade jam and marmalade.

The views outside were the only real bright spot. We were very disappointed by what felt like misleading advertising, and won’t be back. If you book for a family of two or more grown people, you’re very likely to be put in the mobile home/caravan. It sits right beside a noisy road and is quite dated. Some windows were damaged with gaps, and some lights didn’t work. There are no toiletries, and breakfast isn’t included in the room rate, despite what the website says. You can order breakfast from the menu, but it’s pricey. Why pay extra when the booking confirmation says it’s included? Finding this out after arriving at 9.30pm, following a 10-hour drive, was an unwelcome surprise. I wasn’t expecting luxury for the price. We’ve travelled all over Europe and can manage basic, spartan conditions if we’re told honestly in advance and can prepare. An apology from the owner for the misleading advertising would have been nice. We’re not fans of dishonesty.
