The Royal Toby Hotel

Dinner at the gastro was delicious, arrived quickly and came in a good portion. I ate in the bar as I was on my own. There are two restaurants on site, the gastro and an Italian. I was here for one night on a work trip, and the hotel was easy to find and conveniently located for me. The welcome was warm and check-in quick and simple. My room was spacious, clean and tidy, with complimentary bottled water and hot drinks. It also had an iron and ironing board, which so many hotels seem to miss these days. I honestly can't fault it and would definitely stay again for work or for myself.

The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel is beautiful, though it has stairs only and no wheelchair access. The main hotel staff and rooms are really lovely. I've had lunch at the hotel and recently had dinner there too, and the food and service were lovely. The staff are attentive and kind. As far as I know, the rooms have been renovated recently, and they're comfortable for a good stay.

Dinner was delicious, with quality food served promptly and with real warmth. A few members of staff looked after me, including Denise, who was especially friendly and attentive. I was travelling alone for work and felt welcome from the moment I arrived, greeted by a roaring wood fire and friendly staff who made me feel at home. The room was spotless, modern and comfortable. It was a lovely, relaxing stay, and I'd definitely come again.

We didn't have time to stay for breakfast the next day, but we'll make time next visit. Our overnight stay was lovely, and a friendly, efficient staff member welcomed us and showed us to a beautifully clean, stylishly decorated room. The ensuite bathroom was really large, with a good-sized shower. Thanks for a lovely stay. See you again.
