The shuttle to cooling castle was a great extra, and the location worked well for the wedding we were attending. We stayed one night, found the food excellent and slept comfortably in the beds. I’d highly recommend the place.

My wife’s tuna mayo sandwich came with a generous serving of chips and salad, and my battered cod was some of the best I’ve had in ages. The chunky chips and mushy peas alongside it were excellent too. We dropped in for Monday lunch when it was quiet. We live nearby and will be back.

The villagers do stare a little at outsiders, as they do in any village pub, but I didn’t mind. The place has working wifi, which helped on my bike tour around the peninsula. It was the nicest pub stop I made. The food was hot and fresh, and the staff were welcoming.

The staff were really welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were clean, roomy and well furnished. The food was brilliant too, especially the buffalo hot wings. They might be the best I’ve had outside America. A fantastic stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

Kayleigh went above and beyond to help us while we were here for a wedding, and I’m very grateful for everything she did. The food was amazing, the accommodation comfortable, and the shuttle service was an added bonus. We’d definitely come back. Thanks so much!
